Azzedine Alaïa Launches First Fragrance Alaïa (2015) {New Perfume}

Alaia_parfum_2.jpg Couturier Azzedine Alaïa has launched his first signature fragrance for women called simply Alaïa...

The new jus - not just "inspired by" Alaïa fashion - but "co-created by" the fashion designer himself together with Beauté Prestige International is housed in an Oriental-looking black glass bottle mimicking adobe architecture. The new composition is signed by perfumer Marie Salamagne of Firmenich.

Alaïa eau de parfum is said to be an animalic floriental.

According to French Elle which have opened their pages to articles on him which read like a veritable publicity spread on the couturier's fashion and fragrance running on several double pages, he wanted to recreate the sensation of... Perrier water.

More particularly, he was interested in conveying the sensation of freshness felt as when thanks to a traditional refrigerating practice used in some cultures you pour water on the ground so that as a whole the atmosphere gets cooler. Thanks to this olfactory reminiscence which mixes earthy nuances with aquatic, vaporous sensations of condensed water, the new jus is said to offer a cooling sensation in the midst of Oriental accents.

The consumer launch is scheduled to take place from mid-June 2015.
