In November of 2007, London-based niche perfume house Ormonde Jayne will launch a new website that will allow American customers to procure the products from the brand more easily. Their latest creation is Orris Noir, a dark, spicy, Oriental scent that includes notes of davana, pink pepper, cardamom, iris, coriander seed, bergamot, jasmine sambac absolute, pimento berries, bay, cinnamon, incense, myrrh, patchouli, Chinese cedar, saffron, and civet. Coinciding with the opening of the new site, three new scented products will be introduced: Parfum d'Or Naturel Orris Noir, a special concoction that includes natural sugars, gold, and perfume meant to be used as an alcohol-free shimmering cream fragrance (also in Sampaquita and Ta'if), $87 for 15 ml....
Essential Bathing Oil Orris Noir has been reformulated and is now "entirely free of mineral oils, GM ingredients, artificial colours, sulfates, petrochemicals, and parabens," It is composed of orchid oil extract, vitamin E, and 15% pure essence (available also in Ormonde Woman, Frangipani Absolute, Champaca, Tolu, Ta'if, Osmanthus, and Sampaquita), $95 for 200 ml.
The Large Scented Candle Orris Noir is meant to last for 60 hours. Ormonde Jayne use a secret ingredient to help slow down the burning process (also available in Cardamom & Juniper Berry, Casablance Lily, Osmanthus, Champaca, Tolu, Ormonde, Frangipani Absolute, Ta'if, and Sampaquita). It will retail for $70.
