Kate by Kate Moss {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance}

Kate Moss Ad.jpg

As previously reported, Kate Moss will launch her signature perfume this fall called Kate. More information is now available. The fragrance was created by Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich and the jus is described as a floral musk, with both dark and pink tonalities and olfactory facets to reflect Kate Moss' duality. Dark blooms are very en vogue in perfumes lately by the way.....

The super model revealed that her favorite perfumes are Guerlain L'Heure Bleue and Penhaligon's Bluebell. Great choices!

"For Kate, Lorson blended top notes of orange blossom absolute, forget-me-not and pink pepper. At the scent's heart are lily of the valley, heliotrope, magnolia and peony, as well as rose petal notes, which Lorson said are at once fresh and rich. "They express the personality of Kate Moss in this duality," she said.

Base notes include patchouli, sandalwood, musk, vetiver and ambret seeds. "I learned a lot about having to smell layers and picking out the scents," said Moss of the juice-creation process. "I don't think people generally smell a perfume and say, 'Oh, that bottom note!'"

Designed by Lutz Herrmann, Kate's packaging is also meant to portray elements of Moss' personality. "She's not only beautiful and glamorous, but she also has a darker side and a rebellious aspect sometimes," said Herrmann.

The glass flacon has a square base, which gradually becomes a rounder form moving toward the bottle's neck, where a rubber band is emblazoned with the scent's name. The flacon is topped with a charcoal-colored faceted cap created to have a vintage feel."

I will have to wait and see on this celeb scent. I am glad it's not fruity! So major points for that Kate. I noticed the wave of darker notes in perfumes. Maybe they are going for that edgey, modern note that eludes most of the fruity floral messes. :)

Quite like it. I sprayed it on from a tester then went to the gym and had a shower, so was surprised to still smell it on my arm hours later. Some of my favourite flowers are lily of the valley and rose. One of the more nice and classy sleb perfumes.
