The perfume was developed with both P&G and IFF. It is described as a spicy oriental and is said to be warmer than the other Dolce & Gabbana men's fragrances. It has top notes of grapefruit, coriander and basil; heart notes are cardamom, ginger and orange blossom; base notes are cedarwood, ambergris and tobacco.
The news is also that actor Matthew McConaughey, who will be the spokesmodel for The One for Men, will be fully dressed while being chased on the streets of Paris by a mob of paparazzi. Other D & G cologne adverts show men in skimpier attires.
Apparently in reality real paparazzi infiltrated the crowd of actors and snapped pictures of the ad shoot.The commercial was shot by director Jean-Baptiste Mondino in the Rue de Castiglione in Paris last September,
Amusingly, McConaughey is reported to have said in 2006 that he does not like to use either colognes or deodorants because he does not like to smell like someone else (an unmistakably recognizable real man's position).
The line will include "two sizes, $55 for 50 ml. and $70 for 100 ml., in the U.S. An ancillary line includes aftershave lotion, $45 for 100 ml.; aftershave balm, $35 for 75 ml.; shower gel, $30 for 200 ml., and deodorant stick, $22 for 75 ml."
