Outrageous by Kerry Katona (2008) {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance}

Kerry-Katona.jpg
Kerry Katona, who is more frequently advertised as being the winner of the TV reality show I'm a celebrity....get me out of here! is also a TV presenter, former singer of the Atomic Kitten band, Mother of the Year, and last but not least, a writer of both non-fiction and fiction. She has written two books of autobiographical characters which aim to provide advice: Survive the Worst and Aim for the Best: How To Get Your Life Back On Track and Kerry Katona: Too Much, Too Young: My Story of Love, Survival and Celebrity. Besides these two books, she has written two novels, Tough Love, and a second upcoming one, Rough Justice, which will be published in April of 2008; she is not a WAG herself but her second novel, "delves into the WAGs (wives and girlfriends) lifestyle of Premiership League footballers" (cf. Amazon).

The only thing missing was a fragrance to round off her image; Outrageous by Kerry Katona, not to be confused with Outrageous! by Frederic Malle, will be gracing store shelves from May of 2008........

According to Carefair.com,

"It [the perfume] will be marketed and distributed by FAB and will be available at Boots, The Fragrance Shop, The Perfume Shop and Superdrugs. Outrageous will come in two sizes, 100ml and 50ml and will be sold for £19.95 and £17.50 respectively. Mark Earnshaw, CEO of FAB said that the fragrance will be a “very sexy, but beautiful juice.”

Cosmetics International adds the information that, “Kerry wants it to have a real ‘phwoar factor’, The packaging will be very colourful, with a couple of twists.”

"Phwoar" in UK slang, "Expresses sexual desire on seeing a person that one is attracted to."(via Wiktionary).

  1. Dear Marie-Helene,
    Thank you for your interest in reviewing a scent that holds a special fascination for me - especially this time of year " Nuit De Noel " pure perfume by Caron.
    On another "note" I am planning a week's visit to Paris in late February 2008 with my teenage daughter. Naturally I am interested in making several visits to perfume houses.
    Do you have any specific recommendations where to go ? This will be my 5th visit to Paris. I am hoping to get "hard to find " perfumes such as Farouche parfum. Irish Silver Mist by Lutens etc. I will probably visit again xhanel's 31 Rue Cambon boutique. i value your advice and taste .
    Thank you - in advance

  2. I also read your email -- so first I'd say you could check in the Scented Paths section on the blog for some more addresses, including that of perfumeries carrying multiple brands.

    I think you did not mention Etat Libre d'Orange, Parfums de Rosine, Parfums de Nicolaï, Histoires de Parfums, Esteban, Les Néréides, Des Filles à La Vanille...Don't forget L'Osmothèque and the Fragonard museum!

    Marie-Helene
