To celebrate the 60th anniversary of L'Air du Temps (1948) created by perfumer Francis Fabron right after WWII as a renewed affirmation of femininity, Nina Ricci has asked its creative director Olivier Theyskens to dress the flacon for which purpose he selected a design inspired by a yellow silk jacquard gown he created for the couture house (see after the jump).......

Olivier Theyskens said,

"L'Air du Temps incarnates everything I love," said Theyskens, whose yellow silk jacquard weave strewn gown with tiny white flowers serves as the touchstone for the bottle's design. "I've always loved birds and I simply adore how the bottle spirals up to give life to two intertwining doves. You can almost see them taking flight. And the emblematic yellow of the glass sets off the fragrance to perfection."

The limited edition 50 ml flacon adorned with real feathers will be available from April 2008 and retail for $53.

Joyeux Anniversaire L'Air du Temps!

And Happy 60th Anniversary to Fracas too! (we should definitely celebrate perfume anniversaries!)
