Space NK Quintet of Earth-Friendly Signature Scents (2008) {New Fragrances} {Green Products}

Space-NK-Perfumes.jpgSpace NK Apothecary is interested in spreading its DNA via five perfumes, including a relaunch of Laughter (1999). The four other compositions joining the stable are: Champaca, Jasamber, Tuberoli and Santalrosa. All were inspired by travel memories of Space NK founder, Nicky Kinnaird.

Perfumistas will be interested to know that perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, who now works for Chanel and collaborates with Serge Lutens, is the author, after Laughter, of Tuberoli and Santalrosa as well. Champaca is by Azzi Glasser and Jasamber by company Robertet...
The brand also wants to deliver "clean" products on this occasion, and the perfumes and accompanying body products are said to be devoid of"...parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, glycols, mineral oil, silicones, synthetic colors and other chemical compounds."

Laughter was inspired by Spain and features notes of bergamot, grapefruit, lime, juniper berry, angelica root, verbena, rosemary, fennel, coriander, patchouli, amber, musk, ginger.

Champaca is inspired by Rajasthan and is described as a spicy, woody, and floral scent.

Jasamber, a contraction of "jasmine" and "amber" is the result of a voyage to Lapland in Finland and is described as a citrusy and woody scent.

Tuberoli is the contraction of "tuberose" and "neroli" and was inspired by Rome. It has a white-floer accord and notes of blackcurrant and peach.

Santalrosa is the result of a combination of sandlwood and rose. Its source of inspiration is Hakone at the foot of the mount Fuji in Japan. It has foral top notes, a woody core and base notes of heliotrope, vanilla, and musk.

The 50 ml bottles designed by Fabien Baron are priced at $70 each.
