Tom Ford Private Blend Champaca Absolute (2009) {New Fragrance}
Designer & taste guru Tom Ford has released a new exclusive perfume in his Private Blend Collection called Champaca Absolute.

"The Private Blend Collection welcomes a new addition, an ode to the prized ingredient Champaca Absolute. An unconventional composition in the Floral Oriental landscape, Private Blend Champaca Absolute takes a rarely used single note and adds an extraordinary sequence of secondary ingredients to create the sensory equivalent of a decadently layered pastry with many layers of depth and complexity."The new perfume opens on gourmet top notes of Tokajii wine (the world-famous Hungarian wine known as Tokay in the English-speaking world) and Cognac supported by the slightly sweet appeal of bergamot, davana and Mediterranean broom flower. The heart centers on a Champaca Absolute (frangipani) enshrined by notes of Phantomia orchid, white violet and night blooming jasmine. The base is warm and golden, with notes of vanilla bean, amber, marron glacé (candied chestnut), and sandalwood.
As usual, the scent is house in an apothecary bottle made of dark brown glass evocative of a chess piece. Champaca Absolute is available in 50 ml and 250 ml sizes.
