2009 was a peak year for oud in personal fine fragrances for women's, men's and unisex scents. One of the launches that participated in the movement was Jacques Bogart Silver Scent Intense. It is the sequel to Silver Scent issued in 2006 which also featured oud wood. It is reportedly a "more powerful and more luxurious" twist on it.

The scent is inspired by the personality of actor Humphrey Bogart aka Bogie and the universe of the movie The Maltese Falcon...

The name of the fragrance alludes to the same cinematographic universe of the 1940s like an echo of "silver screen." The packaging is color-coded to reflect the colors of black and white films with a touch of red to signal fiery intensity.

The cologne is described as a woody and ambery fougère.

Opening notes are orange blossom, bigarade orange and frosted lemon

Sustained notes are
cardamom, rosemary, geranium, coriander, nutmeg and lavender

Lingering notes are oud wood, tonka bean, lichen, vetiver and teak wood

A 100 ml eau de toilette is priced at £44
