Biotherm Eau de Paradis (2010) {New Fragrance} + Q & A with Perfumer Bernard Ellena

Biotherm-eau-de-paradis.jpgBiotherm have launched a new perfume in their range of fragrances meant to promote both psychological and physical well-being called Eau de Paradis (Paradise Water). The fragrance was composed by perfumer Bernard Ellena who answers a Q & A  by the brand on the conception of the scent...

Notes are: Italian lemon, raspberries, blueberries, black currant and pomegranate / wild roses, freesia, grenadine / Lebanon cedar, sandalwood, angelica seed, musks.

The perfumer explains in his interview (in French) that the association of lemon, sandalwood and musk is key in creating a sensation of "well-being, comfort, and joy." Freesia symbolizes purity and innocence. He was inspired by childhood memories to compose his fragrance such as recalling a glass of fresh grenadine under an arbor, going to pick wild strawberries and blueberries in the massif of Boréon above Nice. His idea of paradise is to spend time in the summer with his family in the garden of his house in Provence.

A bottle of 100 ml eau de toilette is priced at 39,50€

Bernard Ellena recently signed Oriens by Van Cleef & Arpels.
