Good quality cheap thrills are aplenty at Bath and Body Works. Here is their latest perfume in the redesigned Signature Collection bottles which aim to captivate visually just as much as olfactorily. It seems to work as customers declare themselves ready to cave in just for the tabletop-worthy flacons.

Although BBW do not name the perfumers behind the scents they sell (too bad -- it would make their perfumes be considered even more like cultural artifacts) they are referred to as "master perfumers" which is true. The chain store does entrust their compositions to real thinking perfumers and not machines, in case you had a doubt, as the story behind Warm Vanilla Sugar reveals.

The Eau de Toilette opens on top notes of juicy tangerine, golden apricot, sparkling mandarin, exotic berries. The heart notes rest on gardenia petals, freesia, pink peonies. The base, lingering notes unfold on vanilla bean gelato, creamy sandalwood, nuzzly musks, a touch of sweet praline.
