While the official TV commercial itself won't be released until later this spring 2011, the Making-Of the advertising film for the new Guerlain Idylle Duet which is set to be introduced more widely on Mother's Day, has been unveiled.
Two young French actors star in the production. Thomas Dutronc who is also a musician, is the son of actor and musician Jacques Dutronc and singer Françoise Hardy. Actress Nora Arnezeder has been the face of Idylle since the launch of the original Eau de Parfum in 2009...
Idylle Duet owes its name to the contrasted pairing of rose and patchouli in the new fragrance.
The director of the commercial is Jaco Van Dormael. His brother Pierre Van Dormael (1952 - 2008) created the music for the film. The director of photography is Peter Lindbergh who explains that his first wife was addicted to Shalimar.
The love story takes place in the historical setting of the train station in Antwerp.
