Justin Bieber Someday (2011): Pop Idol Turns to Scent for Deeper Connection with Women Fans {New Fragrance} {Celebrity Perfume}

justin-bieber_Someday.jpgTeen pop idol Justin Bieber, after launching a collection of scented dog tags for humans in 2010 has decided to be more conservative this time with the introduction of a new, bottled women's perfume under his label, called Someday. The singer said,

Let’s be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy! I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world,”....

Confirming the codification of fruity-floral smells and gourmand notes as the olfactory expression of choice of teenagers, Someday is said to be a fruity-gourmand created by perfumer Honorine Blanc. It aims to please the majority 14-18 year-old feminine segment of Bieber's fan base. The move to launch a women's perfume rather than a guy's cologne under a masculine singer label is seen as unconventional but naturally dictated by the reality of Justin Bieber's audience demographics.

Part of the proceeds will be given to charity through Give Back Brands and two organizations of predilection of the pop singer will benefit from his program: Pencils of Promise and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

WWD did not even bother to give out the notes of the fragrance, apparently due to the fact that it is mostly seen to be a Bieber and charity vehicle. Nobody is going to argue with that perception. The bottle, which looks like the baby sister of Marc Jacobs Lola, except there are hearts instead of flower petals, was reportedly designed by Lance McGregor.

Model Dree Hemingway will be part of the advertising campaign for the new scent after having been the face of both Paco Rabanne Lady Million and Ferragamo Attimo.

The Eau de Parfum launches in North America in June 2011.

"The fragrance will be offered as an eau de parfum spray ranging in price from $35 for a 1 oz. size to $45 for the 1.7 oz. version to $55 for 3.4 oz. There also will be a 5 oz. hair mist — a big issue with the swept-top Biebs — for $20 and a body lotion for $25."
