karleidoscope_karl_lagerfeld.jpgKarl Lagerfeld has something of the quick-change artist in him, evoking the protean, legendary figure of Fregoli. These days, he seems to be everywhere and to be designing everything under the sun. His new, upcoming fragrance Karleidoscope will underline his versatility with a perfume packaged in an actual kaleidoscope...

The fragrance has notes of violet, angelica, freesia, heliotrope, patchouli, tonka bean, and benzoin. Angelica is a very soft, green note while heliotrope is powdery with hints of cherry; tonka bean has almondy nuances. The warmth of patchouli, tonka bean and benzoin are counterbalanced by the freshness of violet and freesia.

Key words for the new jus are "noble, passionate, bold."

The advertisement is fronted by Bianca Balti (seen above) who was also photographed by Lagerfeld for the 2011 Pirelli calendar.

Prices: A 30 ml of eau de parfum is priced at 39€, a 60 ml bottle at 63€.
