Dior Diorling is Newly Interpreted by François Demachy (1963/2012) {New Fragrance}

Diorling_2011.jpgIn-house perfumer for Dior, François Demachy, has re-interpreted the original formula of Diorling for a wider relaunch. The fragrance will be reintroduced in February January 2012 after having been kept available only in limited quantities.

The leather chypré composition was initially created by perfumer Paul Vacher and launched in 1963, the first posthumous scent to see the light of day six years after the passing away of Christian Dior, while the house has been entrusted to the art direction of Marc Bohan...

The new effort is said to be an attempt to keep a link with the original while offering a new balance. Notes which are mentioned are Calabrian bergamot, Egyptian jasmine, patchouli and leather.

If the same thing happens to it as it did to Diorissimo there will be a much more conspicuous jasmine note in the jus (it then subsequently was made to reach a subtler balance.) Demachy apparently loves jasmine.

The flacon designates the perfume as being part of the collection Les Créations de Monsieur Dior, which is to be loosely interpreted in this context.
