Atelier Cologne will Launch their First Oriental Cologne with Ambre Nue (2012) {New Perfume}

Atelier_cologne_ambre_nue_2.jpgFollowing up on Vanille Insensée, which came out last year, Atelier Cologne are preparing to launch their first "Oriental" cologne - quotes are theirs - called Ambre Nue from May 2012.

It is their 7th "cologne absolue" (quotation marks added) - their specialty being unusually highly concentrated eaux de cologne or edc-inspired scents - and their 2nd entry in the Matières Absolues collection...

The composition is inspired by the natural scent of a high-mountain flower which smells of amber. The perfume was created by perfumer Ralf Schwieger. The perfume is concentrated at 18% while normally an eau de cologne is concentrated at under 8%.

Top notes: green Italian mandarin, Italian bergamot, Egyptian tagete; heart notes: Nigritella Rubra orchid, Sri Lankan cinnamon, Thai benzoin; base notes: cistus labdanum from Spain, Indonesian patchouli, Brazilian tonka bean.

Prices: 200 ml/ 125€; 30 ml / 45€
