Yesterday, Diptyque released part 1 of the slideshow slowly unveiling their new perfume which is as of yet unamed and kept in the shadows of black and white pictures of drawing sketches representing an oval shaped flacon. This is part 2..
Today, we learn that an emblematic element for the house was chosen, the oval.
It is of course a reference to their perfume bottle and candle labels which are inordinately large and exceptionally well thought out and designed. They are simple yet very elegant, or if you prefer, simple and because of that, very elegant.
This advertising campaign is fresh. It is low-key and avoids showiness; it is very much in the spirit of the house.
