French mail-order beauty company ID Parfums previously known as Isabel Derroisné {See Rose Divine}, a parent company of Yves Rocher, launched a new feminine perfume this fall of 2012 inspired by Thailand called Siam Flamboyant. The floriental composition is co-signed by perfumers Nicolas Beaulieu and Anne Flipo...

The brand pegs the new jus as being "an innovative interpretation of an oriental". Nicolas Beaulieu said,

"Passionate about the olfactive family of orientals, I wanted to uncover a facet of it that is more caressing than carnal. To that purpose, I selected the soft Bourbon vanilla and the balsamic benzoin from Siam."

(“Passionné par la famille olfactive des orientaux, j’ai voulu en révéler une facette plus caressante que charnelle. Pour cela, j’ai choisi la douce vanille bourbon et le balsamique benjoin de Siam.)

His colleague nose Anne Flipo concentrated on the floral accord. She said,

" I felt like refining the femininity of that enveloping Oriental accord with floral, sophisticated notes which are my specialty, namely around orange blossom and frangipani."

(“J’ai eu envie de ciseler de féminité cet accord oriental enveloppant avec les notes florales sophistiquées qui sont ma spécialité, autour des fleurs d’oranger et de frangipanier.”)

The eau de toilette features mandarin and white pepper in the top notes followed by a heart of orange blossoms and frangipani blooms before coming to rest on a base of Siam benzoin and Bourbon vanilla.

A 60 ml bottle is priced at 45€, currently available at an introductory price of 22,50€.
