Elizabeth Arden have released their annual twist on their staple fragrance Green Tea created in 1999. In 2013, the brew is perfumed with a new, sweet and creamy floral note in Green Tea Honeysuckle. The composition is signed by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux of Quest-Givaudan who has been entrusted with imagining new yearly versions of the best-seller...

"We bet you can’t spray this on without smiling. Sure to be an instant hit, our newest fragrance is an irresistible blend of honeysuckle and fresh green tea leaves that’s youthful, feminine and just a bit flirty. Like a perfect summer’s day in a bottle."

Rodrigo Flores-Roux said,

For me, the honeysuckle is sheer exuberance in a perfume. When I smell it, I immediately think of the long welcomed spring and celebration of summer yet to come. The trumpet shape of the flower is so attractive, hummingbirds are known to seek them out for their sweet, edible nectar. In the language of flowers, it represents devoted or united in love because of the entwining vines."

The eau de toilette opens on Sheer Bergamont, Sparkling Lemon, Green Tea Vapors, Tangerine, Bosysenberry Blossom followed by a heart comprising a Wild Honeysuckle Accord, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Ylang Ylang Moheli, Green Tea Leaves, Tunisian Neroli before lingering on thanks to a Nectar Accord, Summer Peach, Musk, White Birch and Ambrette Seed.

Last year the 2012 edition was Green Tea Cherry Blossom, in 2011, it was Green Tea Camellia, in 2010, we had Green Tea Lavender, in 2009 there was Green Tea Exotic and in 2008, Green Tea Lotus. The first three perfumes mentioned are still carried by Elizabeth Arden despite having debuted as limited-editions. It speaks to their enduring sucess.
