Les Liquides Imaginaires Les Eaux Sanguines Dom Rosa, Bloody Wood & Bello Rabelo (2013) {New Perfumes}

Trilogie_Sanguine_Philippe_di_Meo.jpg

French designer Philippe di Méo continues his exploration of improbable fragrances with his new Trilogie II, Les Eaux Sanguines (Bloody Waters) launched under his label Les Liquides Imaginaires. This second set - see first here - is inspired by "divine wines with a bloody character". Dom Rosa, Bloody Wine and Bello Rabelo look like nail polishes but are three perfumes colored three different shades of red...

The artistic idea here is to reinforce the analogy between perfume and wine as assemblages of great vintages. The language is esoteric.

Dom Rosa, pink Champagne, is the perfume of the blood of a rose sacrificed for the beauty of wine.

Top Note: Champage, Pomelo, Pear

Heart Note: Damask Rose, Clove, Frankincense

Base Note: Woods, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Ligunum Vitae

Bloody Wood is a great bourgeois vintage. It is a silent amorous duel which liberates its truth in its "juice".

Top Note: Wine, Violet, Rose

Heart Note: Wine, Fruity Notes, Cherry, Raspberry

Base Note: Woods, Sandalwood, Oak

Bello Rabelo is a beautiful hero from Porto. Like the rabelo boats, it takes its strength from the wind. It has the might of the vanquisher and of intrepid stories.

Top Note: Wine, Dried Fruits

Heart Note: Balmy Notes, Immortelle, Labdanum (Rockrose)

Base Note: Vanilla, Woods, Benzoin

Price: 160€ for 100 ml. Available at Aus Liebe Zum Duft
