Agonist Parfums Floralust (2016) {New Perfume}

Swedish, art-directed, nay, art-centric fragrance brand Agonist Parfums - to use a less canine metaphor than « niche », as Serge Lutens would underline - have released a new unisex scent baptized Floralust, which as its name does not necessarily indicate, is less about a riotous bouquet of flowers as about a rose composition « with a bit of bite at the end that pulls you into an elegant floral vortex »...

The house is generally inspired by a « Nordic » approach to beauty in perfume. This means value is ascribed to a certain sense of cleanliness and lightened textures while strolls in nature inform olfactory experiences.

Floralust is said to be ethereal like a summer breeze, yet dominated by rose with a sense of an awakening of nature. Here, « the scents of nature » [...] « dream of surprising, flowering again like nature in the springtime, overt femininity is reconciled with the freedom of expression. »

The fragrance opens on top notes of Pink Pepper, Bergamot, and Freesia leading to a heart of Rose, Magnolia, and Ylang Ylang while the bases rests on Jasmine Sambac, Cardamom, and Musk.

SRP is 125€ for 50 ml.
