Hugo Boss are introducing a feminine composition called The Scent for Her, an attempt at capturing the whims of the women's fragrance market in an iconic manner...
The brand is better known for its extensive range of masculine fragrances, so this is a new test of the waters. The ad campaign will be fronted by actor Theo James, who will help make a seamless transition from masculine to feminine with the help of German super model Anna Ewers. He is the current fragrance ambassador for the range of masculine colognes (see here and here.)
The eau de parfum is a sweet fruity-floral. It is meant to come across as both essentially "luxurious" and "seductive" according to Procter & Gamble. The Scent for Her opens on peach and freesia followed by a heart of osmanthus, a floral note which is like a little perfect universe of leathery, apricot-y, jammy and salty nuances. The base further beckons with a main impression of roasted cocoa resting on smoky, vanilla tones.
The barrel-shaped, signature bottle of Hugo Boss takes on a more alluring look by suggesting the pizzaz of the Art Deco period and the luxurious tint of rosé champagne.
