I have to admit that I have a closet perfume-fetish that I paradoxically, do not often indulge in, but that I know is there. A perfume bottle on a great advert, perfume-printed scarves, perfume jewelry usually catch my attention and my already half-won admiring gaze. But I also know that to really indulge in this pleasure one needs to be selective otherwise, it all gets diluted, repetitive and might even become an alarming alternate version to the more commonly occurring crazy cat-lady syndrome, Saint Marie-Madeleine patron-saint of perfumes forbid!...

So I have given in to an antique Georgian perfume bracelet, thinking of Jane Austen and the unknown original lady who wore it, and I even once accepted a GWP from Marionnaud, a cutesy perfume charm-bracelet, but I do not go berserk. Not yet at least.

This principled position does not mean that I cannot call other people's attention to the joys of perfume-object or perfume-deco hunting, so here are four perfume necklaces from Urban Outfitters for those of you who like to collect perfume-related objects.

According to the descriptions the black and transparent perfume bottles are made of enamel and crystal respectively. The pendants look cute and maybe you do not need to put any perfume in them to just enjoy wearing them.

"Each of these long, delicate chains is topped with an antique-inspired perfume bottle pendant. The styles range from tiny etched metal, faceted crystal and art deco-style enamel. Each bottle has a screw-top lid with an attached wand to apply your perfume. Perfume is not included; they arrive empty so you can fill them with your own favorite scent or leave it empty. Finished with a lobster clasp. Exclusive to Urban Outfitters. Imported. Wipe clean.
* 29"l chain + 2" extender
* .5"w-1.25"w charm
* Mixed metal, plastic"

The yellow copper necklace I would think would add its smell to the perfume as copper has a pretty strong odor, but again it could be just displayed as a retro accessory.

The silvery pendant seems to hold more promise perfume-wise for me as I would gather its material is more neutral-smelling and would get oxidized less easily than copper. Love the double-chain detail.

Another use I see for these is to turn them into Khol bottles as the wand could become a makeup applicator.

All are priced at $28 each and are available online here
