My jaw dropped when I saw this beauty. It is not out yet but will be from October 26, 2009 at Colette, even sooner in the US where the launch takes place on October 19. Snaps out of contemplation to let you know that this special edition is called Piper Heidsieck & Christian Louboutin Le Rituel Champagne in reference to the romantic habit of drinking champagne from a woman's slipper, the gentlemanly thing to do, reportedly in the 1880s. Piper Heidsieck was established in the city of Reims in France in 1785.
After Viktor & Rolf Rosé Sauvage, Christian Louboutin, a living myth of a shoemaker that has made good use of a fashion twist already in use at the court of Louis XIV, has partnered with champagne maker Piper Heidsieck to offer the glass and crystal fantasy of a Louboutin shoe ready to be brought to your, grateful, lips.
