Express Reserve (2009) {New Fragrance} {Men's Cologne} - Fruity Men's Scents {Trend Alert}

Fashion label Express LLC will launch a new men's scent in the second week of July 2009 called Express Reserve. Executive vice president of men's merchandising and design David Kornberg described their first fragrance offspring best,
"It's inspired by our Express man, who is confident, modern, cool and stylish," "The name is about the rare and select nature of the fragrance -- reserve, as it relates to the most coveted and aspirational aspects of something."...
The cologne was created by perfumer Richard Herpin of Firmenich and is labeled as being woodsy and spicy.
"The scent, like Express Men fashions, targets guys in their mid- to late-20s. "He's already on the career ladder and is aware that fragrance is an important part of grooming,"
Express Reserve has top notes of bergamot, green pineapple and Mandarin tea. Heart notes of cinnamon, coriander and laurel leaf; base notes of creamy woods, black pepper, raw amber, dark suede and aged brandy.
The scent appears to be one of those fruit-laden men's colognes that are the new it thing with its hip notes of green pineaple and mandarin tea. From Calvin Klein Man (2007) to Dolce et Gabbana The One for Men (2008) to more recently Sean John I Am King (2008), Stetson All American (2009) and Diesel Only The Brave it seems that men have to learn to swim in ambery fruits. Not that it is a bad thing. But it's new for the category.
