Just as I have been delving in green leafy sensations of freshness with Sous Le Buis and Géranium pour Monsieur, both which carry a note of nostalgia (as do other green scents I have in mind) here comes the announcement of an upcoming perfume by Yves Rocher called Green Summer to be released in the US in June 2009...

It is a limited-edition, part of a Green Summer collection comprising bath and makeup products as well (more about the latter on the beauty blog later on)

"Forget Daiquiris: Green Summer is the fruity cocktail of the season! Let yourself get carried away by the intoxicating fragrance of exotic summers and the tangy scents of sun-kissed fruit wigth Yves Rocher's newest eau de toilette, Green Summer. Its fruity, floral, and musky notes will be sure to quench your thirst!"

The perfume opens on notes of lime, clementine, mango and orange then develops on a heart of freesia, cyclamen, hibiscus and nectarine. Base notes are whitewood, raspberry and musk.

The 75 ml bottle is priced at US $20. The outer packaging is made from sustainably managed forests.

Green Summer will be available from June 2009 on the Yves Rocher website, www.YvesRocherusa.com and by phone, 1-800-321-3434.
