An article in the Mail attempts to offer context about the suicide of Alexander McQueen. As it turns out, his mother's funeral was to take place today. He had been reportedly so affected by her passing away that he would not leave his bed and could not attend to his professional duties. The article also mentions previous suicide attempts in the past.

Tributes are pouring in. Sarah Jessica Parker offered a particularly eloquent and loving tribute to his memory describing him as "a quiet genius" and saying,...
