Lancôme have announced that actress Penelope Cruz is to be the next face of their modern classic, Trésor, launched in 1990, a fragrance that has helped shape women's fragrance sensibilities in the last two decades. She will replace actress Kate Winslet who joined Lancôme's stable of celebrities in the fall of 2007. Lancôme said,
"We're thrilled to announce that Penélope Cruz has joined the Lancôme family as an ambassadress for the legendary Trésor fragrance. Trésor, introduced in 1990, has been represented by the world's most iconic women."...
From its origins, Trésor benefited from the luminous charisma of actress Isabella Rossellini, the perfume being an instant hit thanks in part to its succeeding in defining an updated image of neo-romantic femininity while offering a scented sillage with a soft yet marked personality.
Rumor has it that the shooting done by photographer Mario Testino already took place at Hôtel Crillon in Paris. Penelope Cruz was spotted in a little black dress on the balcony-gallery of the hotel.
Lancôme will unveil further details in June.
