Jo Malone Wild Bluebell (2011) {New Fragrance}

Jo_Malone_Wild_Bluebell.jpgJo Malone will launch a new perfume from September 2011 called Wild Bluebell (Jacinthe des Bois or Muguet Bleu in French). The initial launch party took place in New York City. No further information on the notes is available yet but judging from the packaging, it is influenced by the bluish visions of Tim Burton for Alice in Wonderland (2010)....

There is another noted fragrance in the market for capturing the scent of the flower and it is Penhaligon's Bluebell (1978). A quintessentially English bloom, the pretext of flower festivals and such -- think also about the Bluebell Girls -- the new Jo Malone is going to bring competition apparently to the Penhaligon's composition, famous also because it has been favored by many celebrities including Kate Moss and Princess Diana.

Are you looking forward to this launch? I am, because while there is a famous predecessor, there are not too many bluebell perfumes around.

The introduction will carry on the trend for soliflores into the fall.
