Michelle Yeoh to be the Spokesperson for a Guerlain Perfume {Fragrance News} {Celebrity Perfume}

Malaysian actress and producer Michelle Yeoh will be the next face of a Guerlain fragrance, it has been announced by the house. The name of the perfume has not been revealed yet.

The thinking heads at Guerlain are pinning their hopes on the actress' popularity to help the Asian markets warm up to the idea of wearing perfume, a cultural habit which remains yet to be developed in the region. The CEO of Guerlain, Laurent Boillot was transparent about their goals,...

 

"Beyond our successes relying on our innovations in skincare and makeup since 1828, what remains quintessentially Guerlain nevertheless is perfume, which is still not ingrained enough in the habits of our women friends in Asia. Michelle will be our guide to introduce our Asian clients to the magical universe of our perfumed creations."

Michelle Yeoh is seen by the French press as taking a step further towards a personal rapprochement with France. She is currently the companion of Frenchman Jean Todt, the former director of Scudari Ferrari. She can also now be seen on the silver screen as the lead role in Luc Besson's movie The Lady about the Burmese political dissident and activist Aung San Suu Kyi.

The current stable of Guerlain celebrities endorsing their perfumes also include model Natalia Vodianova (Shalimar Parfum Initial) and actresses Hilary Swank (Insolence) and Nora Arzeneder (Idylle).
