Nose, a New Dedicated Concept Store for Perfumes in Paris {Scented Paths & Fragrant Addresses}

NOSE_Concept_Store_2.jpgMore news have emerged after we posted about Nose yesterday. Presented as a concept store for perfumes rather than a classic perfumery, Nose is the brain-child of three co-founders Nicolas Cloutier, Romano Ricci and Mark Buxton. Cloutier who comes from marketing announced in May 2010 that "We are studying the opportunity to launch a new perfume concept for major urban cities" asking people to fill out a survey. Two years later, the concept has been unveiled. It remains to be seen in what manner Nose will distinguish itself from more classic venues...

Concept stores like Colette and L'Eclaireur in Paris are driven by ideas and style concepts translating into a multiplicity of objects. In a perfume concept store, the range of research is already restricted to fewer media although a home section will be available, it has been announced. One can therefore feel curious about knowing how a perfume concept store will be distinguishable from a multi-brand niche perfumery except as is already obvious from the style of the architectural surroundings playing up modern urban tastes and edge. Concept stores are geekier usually rather than elegant.

Nose_Concept_Store_address.jpgMore than 50 perfume brands are expected to be carried by the store which opens on June 21, 2012 in the premises of the former clinique Bachaumont at 8  20, rue Bachaumont in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, in the not-too-distant continuity of the Halles neighborhood. Some of the fragrance brands mentioned are: Diptyque, by Kilian, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Creed, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Acqua Di Parma, Penhaligon’s, Miller Harris, Juliette has a Gun, Mark Buxton Perfumes...

nose_app.jpgThe high-tech stylings are not just for aesthetic effects. An app will be available for customers to communicate their olfactory preferences to help them choose a perfume to suit their tastes by answering 5 questions. The data base and the app took more than 2 years to create according to FashionMag.fr and will also be available on their e-shop site.
