The mega popular fragrance for women Flowerbomb launched under the label of Dutch duo of designers Viktor & Rolf gets a makeover this season with the Flowerbomb Edition Crystal, which dresses it up in a shiny, tweedy, sparkly, white-Christmas-y onesie topped with a giant bow...
This is a limited-edition with a Holidays theme inspired by pure snowflakes. The jus itself was created by perfumers Carlos Benaïm, Domitille Bertier and Olivier Polge. The latter from now on will be one of the main three in-house fragrance composers at Chanel.
Launched in 2005, the floral gourmand is ubiquitous. It may matter to those who smell it because it feels at time like too much of a stereotype of a perfume given its popularity. For those who wear it however, it's a different story.
"FLOWERBOMB is a floral explosion, a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything seem more positive. Magically evocative notes will immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden away from reality."
The eau de parfum opens on top notes of bergamot, osmanthus and tea leading to a heart of jasmine, African orange flower, freesia, orchid, rose and is deepened by notes of musk and patchouli.
Price: $120 for 1. 7 fl oz.
