Bulgari have launched a new fragrance in their Omnia collection called Omnia Indian Garnet, which is inspired by the exoticism of the sub-continent as well as the burnt orange color of the semi-precious stone mined in India...

An international media launch took place at Rambagh Palace Hotel in Jaipur with a gala dinner, conveying a sense of luxury above and beyond what the perfume itself is likely to reflect, unless we're mistaken.

Having said that, some fragrances have an uncanny ability to project opulence and riches even though their prices can be relatively modest, like here in this perfume list Smell Expensive for Less (where Cristalle by Chanel ought to be added - it just occurred to us).

The Omnia perfumes however play more in the register of fresh, crystalline or gourmand spices than outright ostentation.

The fragrance was composed by perfumer Alberto Morillas of Firmenich. The advertising campaign is fronted by model Edita Vilkeviciute, who is also the face of upcoming Bonbon fragrance by Viktor & Rolf.

No detailed word yet on the perfume notes as the press introduction just took place.
