Expect a More Complex Version of the Scent of Your Favorite Beauty Product

Caudalie will release a fine perfume from May 2014 inspired directly by the scent of their recently launched beauty oil Huile Divine (2013). It is called Parfum Divin. The fragrance composition is signed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier...

The eau de parfum for women is described as being solar, floral and woody. The listed notes are the same as for the beauty product: pink peppercorn, rose, cedar wood, musk, and vanilla.

This new version might work better as a perfume than the original as we thought that Huile Divine tended to smell too strong for a beauty oil meant to cover a larger surface of skin than a few squirts of perfume might cover.

Available in 50 ml. The brand advize to spray the scent from a 30 cm distance.

The trend to go from beauty product fragrance to fine perfumery and vice versa is a bit like film transfers from TV to feature movies, and vice versa. Check out our post on Perfumes Inspired by Beauty Products
