130 Street Photographies after the Paris Attacks - 130 photographies de rue, après les attentats de Paris - In Memoriam

Marking a symbolic divide between life and death is the white tarpaulin stretching around the Bataclan. Beyond it, on the street, it is filled with people and lights, behind it, on the sidewalk leading to the concert hall, there is eerie stillness, with only the lights of the streets playing on the closed surfaces...

If Paris often looks like a movie set decor, in this moment, there is something of that decorous, unreal quality.

The scene looks peacefully unchanged - the café furniture is still put away in an orderly and ordinary fashion - but it is also traumatically unchanged - like Miss Havisham's wedding banquet.

This photo is part of a series capturing the atmosphere of Paris after 11/13 in 130 pictures, one each day for each of the 130 Paris Attack victims.
