Tom Ford Velvet Orchid Lumière (2016) {New Perfume}

Velvet_Orchid_Lumiere.jpeg Tom Ford released a new rendition of Velvet Orchid this fall-winter 2016, which he baptized Velvet Orchid Lumière, the latter word which means "light" in French in the sense that now you can try on a "luminous" version of the original scent...

To illustrate the fresh point of view, the flacon is now tinted a pearly shade of purple.

The first fragrance, Velvet Orchid, reviewed here, is itself a flanker to Black Orchid, Tom Ford's first major feminine perfume under his own designer label (he also has a luxury label, Private Blend).

The brand explains,

"Introducing velvet orchid lumière, a bright, shimmering shade of the ultrafeminine signature scent. Spellbinding and fresh, the new interpretation of the Velvet Orchid Eau de Parfum immerses you in its gourmand-touched sensuality."

The new eau de parfum features notes of Italian Bergamot, Mandarin, Honey, Succan (Rum Extraction) Absolute, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Oil, Cattleya Orchid, Vanilla, Labdanum, Sandalwood, and Myrrh.
