Forbes is running three stories about luxury bespoke perfumers in recession times as part of their series "Thriving in the Downturn" and amongst those there is a video-reportage about Francis Kurkdjian's work...
As previously announced, the perfumer confirms that he will inaugurate his own independent brand Maison Francis Kurdjian later on in 2009. The flagship store will be located in the Place Vendôme in Paris. The line will also be distributed in the US. The business plan is discussed. Kurkdjian adds that he would love to create an olfactory installation across the pond in the spirit of the ones he did for the Château de Versailles (shown in the video).
