Giovanni Bende decided to give a second life to the 19th century corset by exhibiting it instead of concealing it under a bodice; by opening it to reveal nude skin; by changing the materials and making it sit atop a short skirt.

"The eternally successful fragrance Je Reviens, from the house of the 19th-century couturier Charles Frederick Worth, seems to be living up to its name -- "I'll be back."
