Coming this fall in September 2010 is a new vetiver composition by L'Artisan Parfumeur called Coeur de Vétiver Sacré (Heart of Sacred Vetiver). It was created by perfumer Karine Vinchon of Robertet who already collaborated with the house for L'Eau de Jatamansi, one of their organic perfumes.

"Journeys to the East are mystical and have always attracted explorers, poets and writers from the West. L'Artisan Parfumeur takes you on a dream voyage to the magic East. This noble vetiver, like an offering to the gods, is as close as possible to the wood itself."....

There are a number of vetiver perfumes of note, so a question which will arise fairly quickly is what will a new composition bring to the field especially in the context of a creative perfumery like that of L'Artisan Parfumeur? Perfumer Karine Vinchon decided here to tackle vetiver in a comprehensive manner wanting to offer "a different and sensual vetiver by revealing all its facets."

The fragrance is said to offer three main facets: sparkling, peppery and vibrant-smoky. Notes include: bergamot black tea, date, dried fruits, saffron, ginger, pink berries, vanilla, incense, musks.

A 50 ml eau de toilette is priced at $95 and a 100 ml bottle at $135.

Coeur de Vétiver Sacré {kerh duh vehteevehrh sahkrhay} will debut exclusively at Barneys.

Another highly anticipated perfume composition will be Traversée du Bosphore, inspired by Istanbul.
