Guerlain are launching a special collector edition of their Homme Eau de Parfum Intense in collaboration with Italian design studio Pininfarina, which created the original flacon for Guerlain Homme launched in 2008. The Guerlain Homme Intense version followed in 2009.

While the initial choice was to offer an opaque anthracite flacon with a metallic effect, the limited edition Pininfarina Collector uses transparent glass colored red on which the logo of the luxury Italian designer takes center stage...

The design wants to recall the elite sports cars drawn by Pininfarina, in particular for Ferrari and Rolls Royce, which recall a lot the Batmobile.

"The "Pininfarina" signature goes to the point with simplicity and boldness and knows how to tame aggressivity with elegance and character. The shape is all fluidity, strength and brilliance, square like an affirmation, functional like a tool; a discreet raised pattern recalls the hood of beautiful cars and symbolizes the clean lines of the chest of the ideal man."...

From the original French:

"La griffe "Pininfarina", c'est aller à l'essentiel avec simplicité et audace, c'est dompter l'agressivité avec élégance et caractère. Tout en fluidité, force et éclat, carré comme une affirmation, fonctionnel comme un outil, un discret relief rappelle le capot des belles voitures et symbolise la ligne épurée du torse de l'homme idéal."
