Jean Patou have released a new flanker to the classic Joy from the Depression era called Joy Forever. The name is meant to affirm the permanence and relevance of this perfume for a new generation of women by prolonging its olfactory signature with a new twist...

This had been done in the past by then in-house perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez who had offered a tenderer, lighter interpretation of it with Un Amour de Patou and also a fruity take on it with Patou For Ever.

New in-house perfumer Thomas Fontaine signs the new composition,

Her mother may have worn JOY for its sheer luxury but she will choose JOY FOREVER for its natural quality and scent” She lives for the moment….she lives for today!"

In an effort to establish the olfactive personality of the house, there is now emphasis on a new term, "patounade" meant to designate the signature accord of May rose and Grasse jasmine on the model of the "guerlinade" by Guerlain.

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of bergamot, mandarin and galbanum leading to a heart of jasmine, rose, orris, marigold, orange flower and peach and resting on base notes of cedarwood, sandalwood, white musks and amber.
