Guerlain Les Elixirs Charnels French Kiss (2014) {New Fragrance}

Guerlain are adding a new love potion to their library of fragrances entitled Les Elixirs Charnels (Carnal Elixirs) with French Kiss...

The collection was created in 2008 and all three initial Elixir Charnel perfumes then were signed by perfumer Christine Nagel, who is now at Hermès.

French Kiss by in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser continues to create a voluptuous gourmand boudoir atmosphere. It makes you think somewhat by analogy of the Japanese practice of Nyotaimori except that instead of melting pieces of rich sashimi served on a naked woman's body, you get Guerlain soft marshmallow bites dipped in Guerlinade to be worn on skin.

The composition featuring lychee, rose, raspberry, violet, vanilla, heliotrope, iris, and white musk reads like a modern adaptation of the cloud-like guimauve accord which signs the house classic L'Heure Bleue.
