Sephora Now Carrying L'Artisan Parfumeur {Fragrance News}

Sephora_artisan-parfumeur.jpg L'Artisan Parfumeur is the latest niche perfume label to have made its entry in the Sephora selection of more confidential fragrance houses carried by their network...

Some Sephora stores in France have corners dedicated to those artier and usually more expensive so-called "niche" brands. Serge Lutens, Tom Ford, Atelier Cologne, for instance, reside there.

Seeing L'Artisan Parfumeur appear among those select offerings is somewhat of a symbolic move on the cultural plane as they were one of the first labels to establish the meaningful universe of niche perfumery as a connoisseurs' special haven. Its founder Jean-François Laporte (en version française ici) is remembered on the site.

Sephora France now carry 12 titles from the classic collection and 5 from the Explosion d'Emotions one. The latter lineup is considered even more "niche".

The scents are available online. When you verify availability in stores, only the Champs-Elysées one appeared on the list for Paris which indicates the fact that the choice caters to tourists more than locals who can still rely on L'Artisan boutiques in the city.
