Katy Perry Killer Queen Spring Reign (2015) {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance}

American songstress Katy Perry will add a new limited-edition women's fragrance to her Killer Queen range called Spring Reign...

The eau de parfum is being advertized as a bucolic and watercolor-like composition. In reality, it is a floriental which makes it a tad deeper than what its pink color might lead you to imagine.

The composition opens on top notes of Pink Freesia, Violet, and Black Currant Blossom leading to a heart of May Rose, Gardenia, and Artemisia while its base rests on Cedarwood, Cashmeran, and Benzoin.

Katy Perry debuted her first fragrance in 2010 with Purr, which was followed by Meow! the year after. In 2013, she unveiled her new concept, Killer Queen which led to Killer Queen Oh So Sheer in 2014 and the one, the same year, which we have come to oh-so-not-privately dub as Royal Pain aka Killer Queen Royal Revolution. The anecdote here is that on a whim Katy's people decided it was a crime of lèse-majesté to have published the information too soon...sourced from Ulta. Long story short, a couple of lawyerly missives later, that perfume went back to the moat so we can't link back to it - we could probably at this point but we don't care - and all this for no sound reason that we can think of except as a gigantic crisis of random control-freakishness. Ulta also had to take down their post because apparently it was bad for the perfume to be seen in the public eye.

Spring Reign, we hope, will be a lighter and prettier jus than Royal Pain aka Killer Queen Royal Revolution.
