Angélique Lilas & Mandarine Basilic by Guerlain {New Perfumes}

As already mentioned, Guerlain will be adding two newcomers to their Aqua Allegoria line this spring. We learn that Jean Paul Guerlain is the creator of Angélique Lilas and Marie Salamagne that of Mandarine Basilic.

We note that the eaux showcase two notes, angelica and mandarin that have become fashionable the last two years. One promises to be very soft (Angelica Lilac) and the other (Mandarin Basil) invigorating.

La Môme by Balmain, More News {New Perfume}

As previously mentioned, Balmain is introducing a new fragrance called La Môme (The Kid) inspired by charismatic French singer Edith Piaf. We learn further that the perfume offers a vintage flair and attempts to capture the atmosphere of post-war Paris as well as Piaf's passionate personality.....

Lights of Champs-Elysées by Guerlain {Perfume Review & Musings}

Lights of Champs Elysées (2006) is the second fragrance, after Vetiver Pour Elle (2004), created by Guerlain to be distributed exclusively in the French airport duty-free stores Aelia. It is available both in France and in the UK. Although the initial announcement regarding the fragrance seemed to point to a very simple, if not simplistic fragrance, it is significantly more complex in reality. The perfume has top notes of almond flowers and pink peppercorns. Heart notes further unfold with mimosa, iris wood, and then ylang ylang. Base notes are light vetiver, sweet vanilla, and Virginia cedar.....

Hypnôse Homme by Lancôme {New Perfume}

Lancôme will launch a masculine version of the successful Hypnôse called Hypnôse Homme. The fragrance was created by Maurice Roucel of Symrise, the author of many a new classics like 24, Faubourg by Hermès or Musc Ravageur by Frédéric Malle.

The perfume has notes of mint, bergamot, Calabrian mandarin, Chinese cardamom seed, essence of Provençal lavender, amber, musk, and essence of Indonesian patchouli.

Fiori Del Cielo by I Profumi di Firenze {New Perfume}

The lovely Florence-based historic Italian perfume brand with an artisanal flair, I Profumi di Firenzi, has a new perfume added to their already prolific collection, called Fiori Del Cielo (Flowers From Heaven). It is meant to evoke spring in Florence and features notes of purple iris, white and yellow narcissus, purple anemone, and pink cyclamen.

"Light, airy and as feminine as a wispy petticoat, inspired by the natural beauty of Florence. The perfume is composed with the springtime flowers that bloom on the hills surrounding the romantic city."

It is now available at Beauty Habit and retails $79 for 50 ml.

Kylie Minogue Will Launch Men's Cologne {Fragrance News} {New Perfume} {Celebrity Perfume}

The scoop is that Kylie Minogue's boyfriend Olivier Martinez is partial to Darling and loves to spray it on himself. So much so that it inspired Kylie to want to launch a men's cologne.

Darling has been a great success in the UK: "'Darling' hit the stores last November and outsold many perfumes released by other stars, including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton."

Ah, l'amour!
