In Memoriam Perfumer Béatrice Piquet (1963-2010): Condolences Space Open
©Hajime Watanabe/IFFPerfumer Béatrice Piquet passed away this month after a long struggle with malady. She was born on September 27th 1963 in Eaubonne and died in Nanterre on March the 1st, 2010. Her funeral took place at Eglise Notre-Dame of Eaubonne on March the 5th in her city of birth near Paris and she was buried at the cimetère nouveau rue Gambetta.
Béatrice Piquet first joined International Flavors and Fragrances company at the age of 17. Her mentors were Max Gavarry, JP Mary and Alain Astori. In 1998 she was promoted senior perfumer at IFF...
Her creations include, according to GCI Magazine, "Bulgari Petits et Mamans; Aroma Tonic for Lancome, with Alain Astori; Armani Emporio Night Him, with Yves Cassar; Sun for Men, for Jil Sander; as well as successes with Salvatore Ferragamo, Benetton, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Guerlain, Hugo Boss, among many others."
To this list one can add such popular fragrances as L'Instant pour L'Homme (with Sylvaine Delacourte), Néonatura by Yves Rocher, The Beat by Burberry, but also Bulgari Rose Essentielle, and more recently Cascade by Chopard (with Juliette Karagueuzoglou), Burberry Sport for Women (with Olivier Polge). She also created Beckham Signature for Him and some of the Incanto perfumes by Ferragamo.
