Sephora Boar Detangling Brush (2009): The Power of Tourmaline {Beauty Notes: Review} {Hair} {New Beauty Product}

boar-brush-sephora.jpgSephora has introduced a new collection of hair brushes that was studied to incorporate both the traditional know-how by using 100% natural bristles and the still traditional but nevertheless new, edgy awareness that certain minerals -- tourmaline here -- release negative ions that are beneficial to haircare. The latter is dubbed "Ionic technology" and promises an anti-frizz effect as well as a "maxi-shine." The encouraging tag line is "...for the woman who wants to achieve mane magnificence sans the damage."

green-tourmaline.jpg Well, I have to say that I literally jumped on the Sephora Brand Boar Detangling Brush (or Brosse Démêlante Sanglier) upon spying it without even reading the fine print as my personal hairbrush-radar activated itself automatically. This particular brush from the collection looked very well balanced..

Hard Candy Now at Wal-Mart {Beauty News}: The More Bells & Whistles, The Merrier

hard-candy-walmart.jpg
Hard Candy has debuted in a new mass-retail channel by appearing legitimately on the shelves of Wal-Mart. The brand specifically created a rich range of 261 products for the retail giant. According to Reuters, for Wal-Mart this is a move linked to the context of the recession which has pushed more higher-income shoppers to visit its premises so as to respond to sober times, even if only psychologically. Reuters also underlines the fact that this evolution was not fully appreciated by lower-income shoppers who are the real Wal-Mart regulars...

Napa Grape contains grape seed oil, of course, but is also perfumed accordingly,

Jardin de France New Culture & Nature Line Is Inspired By 6 Countries (2008) {New Perfumes - Beauty Products}

Culture-et-Nature-Jardin-de-France.jpgJardin de France, a French perfume house established in 1920 - from which I usually like to buy eaux de cologne both classical and with a twist (angelica, chypre, jasmine, heliotrope...) - have come up with a new concept for a new line of perfume and beauty products titled Culture et Nature (Culture and Nature). I am happy to say from the outset that they ship internationally so this will not appear as just one of those tantalizing posts where you have to start mentally taking down notes on what to check next time you travel to Europe or perhaps even plan a perfume trip.

The new collection includes 6 series of products inspired each by one country and their traditional olfactory and vegetal oil cultures: Brazil, China, India, Madagascar, Morocco, Russia...

Miss Ferling Baume de Dalmatie & Herbacin Kamille + Glycerin: 2 Hand-Creams Go Mano a Mano - Beauty Review {Bath & Body} {New Product}

Baume-de-Dalmatie-Ferling.jpg

Miss Ferling Baume de Dalmatie

Baume de Dalmatie is the latest cute and cool hand-cream from Miss Ferling, a French brand. The packaging, a fun-looking tartan-decorated cardboard tube containing a slim and petite 15 ml metallic tube, is attractive although the cream tube looks a bit reduced and makes you think that the cream better be ultra-concentrated to justify the down-size.

Described as a "spotted hand cream for velvety paws" the Baume is cool-looking because it indeed contains black spots on a white background although these are not as numerous as on the spotted packaging. One squirt and you get 2 dots. The black dots are licorice and lily and advertised as ultrasoftening agents.....
