Crave Control, Endurance Enhancer, & Bliss Booster by Scentology {New Perfumes}

Scentology is a new perfume brand or more exactly an aromachological brand that launched in March of 2007. The line includes three self-help perfumes called Crave Control, Endurance Enhancer, and Bliss Booster which are packaged in long test tubes to underline the scientific bases for their formulas. Its founder is Dr. Rachel Herz who is presented as a specialist of the psychology of smell.......

Beauty Factory: How to Play Fragrance Developer {Fragrant Shopping}

If you are at least 10 and willing to invest the sum of 19.99 Euros you can now become a perfume developer or at least pretend that you are one on a rainy afternoon. The lessons drawn from the game are rather matter-of-fact. Beauty Factory presents itself as a strategic game around beauty and in particular asks of you to create  "perfume formulas that will please consumers the most, then launch the production while choosing the product price and deciding upon the budget for advertising." So it is official? Perfumery is not an art anymore and children should realize that as quickly as possible?.....

We have compiled an Index of New Perfumes in 2006 and 2007 in alphabetical order for your browsing convenience. These lists are selective as the task of indexing every new release in detail would be both tedious and time-consuming. A new creation, a new twist, an interesting packaging, a novel or trendy concept, a historically significant perfume house latest output or update, a new perfume brand are all reasons to turn our attention towards a new launch. |Man|2 by Etienne Aigner {New Perfume}

Etienne Aigner, the upscale leather specialist, is launching a new masculine perfume, an eau de toilette, in October of 2007 called |Man|2.

Top notes are Sicilian lemon, Sage; heart notes are Tarragon, Cinnamon, Aniseed notes; base notes are Tobacco, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Cedarwood, Cashmere wood, Patchouli.

J'Aime by La Perla {New Perfume}

Sexy Italian lingerie brand La Perla will launch a new perfume in October of 2007 simply called J'Aime (I Love). The fragrance was created by perfumer Françoise Caron of Givaudan. As the tag line goes: "You can fall in love with a perfume. To distraction."........

Tom Ford Fragrances: 4 in Dubai Boutique, More on Tom Ford for Men & Tom Ford Extrême {New Perfumes} {Fragrance News}

In a video interview given to FashionMag.fr, Tom Ford reveals that he is working on four new perfumes that will be exclusive to his Dubai boutique and which "are more about that part of the world". Tom Ford for Men he characterizes as more of a "global fragrance that has to appeal to everyone", i.e., mainstream with the extra connotation that consumers are from all over the world. He says that it is classic and fresh in the top notes with a warm sensual base. Tom Ford Extrême, which is coming out in November of 2007, he explains is the reverse, very sensual with a little bit of freshness.

Black Tourmaline by Olivier Durbano {New Perfume]

French jewelry designer Olivier Durbano has launched his third fragrance in a series that is to include seven creations total, each perfume being dedicated to a new stone with different symbolic meaning and power each time. The previous perfumes were in chronological order Rock Crystal and Amethyst. This fall arrives Black Tourmaline (Tourmaline Noire).

According to the press release, Black Tourmaline is the " Stone of protection in former legends. Black tourmaline would protect against pernicious influences, turn one's own negativity into a positive attitude and would establish a barrier of protection against fire projections and electrostatic phenomena.......

Venice by Memento {New Perfume} The Beautiful-Italy Trend {Scented Thoughts} {Trend Alert}

The Italian group Eurocosmesi is going to unveil a new niche perfume brand in October of 2007 at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, which was christened Memento. The collection is dedicated to presenting an olfactory tour of Italy.

Their first creation is a women's fragrance called Venice. Interestingly, Italian perfume brands lately seem to offer an almost nationalistic flavor and derive inspiration often from the national landscape. It might be that it is this idea of turning perfumes into objects that tourists will feel moved to buy as souvenirs from their trips or it might be that there is some sort of ideological current running......

Auctioning Off Floris No. 89 for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation (Update) {Fragrance News}

In the days leading to October 2007 which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, beauty and perfume brands are mobilizing to pitch in and contribute to the collective awareness and donation efforts. Floris of London, one of the two oldest perfumeries in existence in the world (with Santa Maria Novella), established 1730, is organizing a charity auction on eBay and 25% of the proceeds will be given to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, "the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists".

Floris is auctioning off their last batch of No. 89, the fragrance of choice worn both by James Bond 007 the fictional spy character and Ian Flemming the author and which is a scent reputed for its typical British gentlemanly charm. The eau de toilette, which was created in 1955, features notes of Citrus, Spicy, Bergamot, Orange, Geranium, Nutmeg Cologne, Orange Blossom, Floral, Herbal, Rose, Jasmine Woody, Musky, Mossy, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Vetiver.......

Uncharted by Crabtree & Evelyn (2007) {New Fragrance/Cologne}

Crabtree & Evelyn has released a new men's perfume called Uncharted. It is described as offering "Crisp notes of ozone and juniper with citrus, pale woods and fresh green mosses."

The line comprises a 3.4 fl. oz cologne for $40 and an exfoliating body bar with hemp oil for $12.50.
