130 Street Photographies after the Paris Attacks - 130 photographies de rue, après les attentats de Paris - In Memoriam

A very happy and mellow Holiday atmosphere to you!

While this picture offers the glow of Christmas, it is the light that has been lit in memory of the 130 dead of the Paris Attacks by countless visitors including children who could be seen kneeling down next to tealights on sidewalks, playing with them as if they were legos...

In search of symbols to express resilience, an Eiffel Tower made of tealights took shape on the macadam. In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks, this familiar shape has also become a symbol of peace too thanks to the spontaneous inspiration of illustrator Jean Julien who painted a calligraphic Eiffel Tower inside a peace sign called "Peace for Paris" for which he refuses to claim copyrights.

This photo is part of a series capturing the atmosphere of Paris after 11/13 in 130 pictures, one each day for each of the 130 Paris Attack victims.
