Justin Bieber did a commercial for his fragrance Someday which was probably too kitsch and too much of cheese for most to stomach.Fortunately, Jimmy Fallon gave him an opportunity to display his sense of humor by creating a parody of the original pinkly ethereal commercial. In it, an aging Bieber meets his previously youthful incarnation and both ponder the varied meanings attached to "someday" when that day has arrived...

Following up on The Secret from 2010 is a new perfume by Antonio Banderas called The Golden Secret. It was composed by the same perfumer as for the original, Christophe Raynaud of Givaudan. The list of notes is similar to the previous scent as well, which makes understand the tag line in the advertising commercial (see after the jump) to be literally about an intensified version of the first secret...

Céline Dion has launched a new perfume called Signature which was developed with Coty Beauty. The classical yet modern jus was composed by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis of Firmenich. The idea behind the scent was to express the bond that exists between the singer and her audience.
“My music provides me with a wonderful creative outlet to express my feelings and share these emotions with my fans,” explains Celine. “Creating the Signature fragrance allows me to reach my fans in a completely different, yet very personal way.”...

The über confidential perfume from 2009 which launched at the Bon Marché in Paris as an ode to the bracelet and ties of all sorts, Iconofly Attache-Moi, is now available in the US. The first edition which ran 1000 copies and rapidly sold out did not ring the demise of the perfume. The packaging has evolved as the bonds are now gray and a lettering appears on the glass of the flacon. An art movie has been commissioned this year, which is directed by Christina Kruse and written by Guy Lesser who both play in the short film as well...

Phoenix is the debut fragrance by Keith Urban. The Long Hot Summer singer told USA Today that one of his sources of inspiration was his father, a drummer in New Zealand, about whom he said, "He was quite an aesthete. He always smelled good and had good clothes. He had an appreciation for the senses." Apparently it's a family tradition because fans casually gush about how good the singer smells backstage, even going as far as locking the shirts he touched and imprinted with his scent in Ziplock bags. Amazingly, people don't say they want to listen to his music again, no, they want to smell him again...

The commercial for Wonderstruck the debut fragrance by Taylor Swift is already making people feel good about everything enchanted and mysterious. The comment by Phoebelol1 on You Tube made me chuckle: "Now I know that christmas will smell nice ;)." In the film, the singer plays the role of a new Alice in Wonderland crossing the passage of a magical mirror thanks to perfume. Yes, close your eyes and try doing that at home. Sometimes it works when the perfume is poetical and evocative enough. Also, check out after the jump for a pic of Taylor having her makeup done and the scoop on the beauty prep...

Ellen DeGeneres convinced David Beckham to go undercover to Target to pose as a fragrance sales assistant to sell his own new release, David Beckham Homme. Watch the segment as he obeys the show host's wacky instructions heard through an ear piece, sometimes with unexpected results. Her "If you stink, come buy cologne" repeat-after-me instruction is transformed by Beckham into the equally funny "If you think, come buy cologne."...

Coty Beauty have launched the latest David Beckham perfume called Homme. The company see the new fragrance as a return to the masculine roots of the brand and as a strategic launch.
The image of the soccer star has been revamped with an ambitious commercial borrowing sleek, imaginary-architecture codes from the movie industry, a bit in the line of Inception. A dedicated website has been set up complete with didactic explanations about perfumery ingredients as well as a perfumer video featuring the nose behind the scent, Pierre Negrin of Firmenich...

Bearing a name which sits in-between Red Door by Elizabeth Arden and Red by Chanel (an old perfume), Red Flag by Chanel could almost sound true. It's the title of a comedy skit by SNL featuring Kristen Wiig in the role of a beautiful socialite whose perfume is the last perfecting touch and whose power men find deeply unsettling....

Estée Lauder are interested in accompanying the launch of the new Sensuous Nude perfume with more than just a commercial. They filmed a short, which is both conceptual and motivational, around the question "is staying in touch the same as being in touch?" In the video, a contrast is drawn between the inumerable times in a days when a woman touches a mechanical button to get what she needs the action of touching skin in a sensual sense. Check out after the jump how the fragrance inspired the film...

After revealing the print advert for the debut perfume by Taylor Swift, Wonderstruck, the campaign MCs have now allowed us to take a peek at the teaser trailer for the film about the fragrance. This is a new popular storied format, like for the current commercial for Midnight Rose by Lancôme seen on French TV featuring Emma Watson, which unfolds in several episodes over the weeks.
Instead of being hammered with a repetitive set of images, you get to feel suspense and curiosity if the film is well serialised. Check out after the jump for the first installment of the perfumed film Wonderstruck and see what Taylor had to say about perfume...

Loewe launched a perfume for women in 2007 called Quizas, Quizas, Quizas (Maybe, Maybe, Maybe) taking its title from the Cuban song by Osvaldo Farres, which he composed in 1947.
The brand entrusted the perfume commercial to photographer and director Eugenio Recuenco, who also proposed a short film next to the brief fragrance commercial, due to the constraints of the genre. The story features model and actress Jennifer Pugh. You can watch both versions after the jump...
